Photographer's Note

The setting is the key to find a shelter when you work at sea. Otherwise, it is the time the cruiseships usually choose to depart from one port to another one, using the night's calm seas to navigate and giving all next day on land to its guests.
This is the main harbor of Buzios, where the fisheman leaves their boats when the cruiseships turn on its motors to cruise away.

Great shot Jose! I like the mood in this, with the old boats in the foreground for focus and the eye lead towards the large cruise ship.

Olá Zeca, gosto da composição, mas acredito que esteja um tanto subexposta a foto. Mas sempre fico impressionado com o tamanho desse cruzeiro que mesmo estando lá longe ao fundo, percebe-se como ele é grande.

Jose, c'est une photo pleine de sérénité, le soir est là et l'activité de la journée a cessé. Il ne reste plus qu'à contempler le paysage qui déjà se couvre d'ombres. Belle réalisation !

A very well composed picture with this natural light (wich was a bit poor but that you managed perfectly!). I like the crop and the sharpness allowed by the very pure atmosphere.

It is a very nice juxtaposition, the simple fishing boats and the enormous cruise ship. Very well seen composition as the ship comes from behind the islet. Good saturation of these late evening colors. Also, the angle of the blue foreground boat is a nice leadin to the shot.

Bonita foto, Zeca, mostrando a "diversidade" do mar de Búzios, que, na minha infância (já faz muuuuito tempo rs) nada mais era que uma vila de pescadores, conhecida apenas por "Armação" e freqüentada por uns poucos barquinhos... Mas eu estou falando dos anos 50, e isso é uma outra história. Bom trabalho, amigo! Miguel.

What a peaceful scene, however it may not be too peaceful on the boat in the distance. You have taken this photo at a nice quiet time of the day which gives it a restful appearance. The little island; it adds to the appeal of the photo. Thank you for sharing I like it very much.
