Photographer's Note
This is a view of the Botafogo bay with the Pão de Açucar and its Urca district in the Background. Taken from the Corcovado summit, you have here probably one of the best view of the Guanabara bay.
Who would dare say Rio de Janeiro is not the Wonderful City ? Just want to add Ninadev is right : everybody can access the beach in Rio, even the poorer : that makes this city unique and so cosmopolite.
Few modification so as to cancel the strong mist effect : automatic balance, increased blue balance, sharpening.

A lovely shot Steven, those rich blues of both the sea and sky are really appealing to the eye.

What a nice shot. I like the contrast between the clear foreground mountain and the ones in the background that are in a mist, or under rain falling from the clouds just above ?. I like the composition very much, you didn't just shoot a scenary of mountains but included the city so it does show that it's a beautiful environment that people can enjoy every day.

Excellent shot, very well composed with nicely saturated colours. A good sharpness too, well done!
It would have been great if you managed to capture a few powerboats dancing in the bay! I am also tempted to crop a little from the top to focus attention to the "Sugarloaf"

Nice job Steven. Personally I like the mountains fading away into the blueness; adds depth to the image IMHO. The colors are really nicely saturated and make this shot feel alive.

Nice shot Steven, thanks to show me how is the Pão de Açucar in a sunny weather. One regret, I personnaly think there's too much sky and would have prefered a poart of the Botafogo beach

Thanks a lot for sharing this picture. I´m from Brazil and I´ve recently joined TE community. I love travelling and I had the opportunity to visit a lot of different places in many countries and, for sure the view from Corcovado is one of the most beautiful I´ve seem.

"Rio de Janeiro, the worderful city", I never think it was true... But if you are telling it, I can try to believe in it :)
I would be so beautiful if was not so polluted... Is so sad to be Guanabara Bay how it is...
In the past, I guess 40, 50, 60's people could see many fishes in the deep one of the sea, only by bark or boat... Sailing into the thousand islands of Guanabara Bay, it was so amazing... It didn't smell badly, it was so so beautiful.. Nowadays we can see it only though old photografics or paintings...
