Photographer's Note

The Cipó Mountain Range is part of the enormous Espinhaço Mountain Range, that rises from the south Minas Gerais all the way up to the north, for 800 miles to the State of Bahia. Located in the center of the state of Minas Gerais, the Serra do Cipó National Park, created on 25th September 1984, holds a fragile ecosystem covered with wonderful flowery fields. Popularly known as Brazilian Garden, here you can find more endemic species than any elsewhere in the world.
It doesn't matter the time you come, the Cipó will surprise you with different species of flowers in every season. Increasing its floral beauty, water springs, countless waterfalls and streams are part of the natural landscape. Countless are the reasons to surrender ourselves to lots of adventures and to the contemplation of the nature almost untouched. For the ones who love flora and fauna, many species of birds and endemic flowers will just make your vacation better than ever. The area, still unexplored by mass tourism, gives you a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the Minas Gerais state. You will enjoy homemade traditional dishes, try local drinks and interect with the native people.
