Series on my visit to the town of SÃO BENTO DO SAPUCAÍ, located pretty close to the border between the STATES of SÃO PAULO - SP (where it is) and MINAS GERAIS - MG, on June 7th and 8th, 2014 - #005 !

This year, for my birthday, I decided I'd do what I mostly enjoy doing: traveling! As I didn't have too much time (only a week-end), I went to a town that's not very far away from where I live: SÃO BENTO DO SAPUCAÍ!
It's located in the border of the STATES of SÃO PAULO (SP) - where it is - and MINAS GERAIS (MG), in a wonderful mountaineous regions, called SERRA DA MANTIQUEIRA (MANTIQUEIRA MOUNTAIN RANGE)!
It's a small town, still pretty calm, clean and lovely!

That's quite a number of photos that you have already posted of your country! Congratulations!
And you celebrate it with an excellent pin sharp picture of this beautiful church.
Splendid view upwards. I like the combination of the light blue and the white of the facade and the towers with the golden tones of the crosses and the other decorations.

La même église turquoise qu'hier mais sous un angle très serré qui fait bien ressortir les détails sous cette lumière magique. On a envie de faire comme cet homme et d'entrer voir l'intérieur.

Fabulous light-blue color of the church, decorated with golden painted elements, statues and a clock.
View upwards is most sophiticated and nicely collected.
Excelent sharp details, and fine complementary view of the surrounding we see on the previous post.

A nice looking church, with great pale blue and white colors, with a hint of gold. Sharp and perfectly exposed. The deep blue sky completes the blue theme of the photo.

Uma beleza de fachada com muitos detalhes bonitos e bem trabalhados. Eu gostei muito destes tons suaves de azul. Junto com o branco e o dourado quem planejou esta pintura acertou em cheio. Faz lembrar aquelas igrejas ortodoxas orientais.

What a beautiful church. It looks like an Orthodox church in Greece or Eastern Europe. I love the pastel blue tones and the whites contrasting. Excellent perspective and POV. Well done.

A superb close up of this impressive cathedral and smart choice of the vertical format. The person framed by the arched doorway provides scale, a focal point and animates the scene. Perspective has been well managed with verticals placed centrally. Tfs!

Hi Neyvan. Interesting color for a church. The details on the facade are beautiful. I'm glad you included the person by the door to give us an idea of the building size. The light is also very good, specially with the shadows giving more details on the corners. Nice image.

Hi Neyvan,
I see that in Central and South America like to paint churches in the blue. During my trips there I met a few churches in this color but never see in Europe.
Good classic composition of main entrance and the towers above. Great clarity, colors and light.
