Photographer's Note

Do you remember those two big trees that were removed ? Here we can see city hall planted two new small ones in the same place, but it was a very dry time and they don't put water to the baby plants and they died and city hall was obligated to plant them again. In the far BG, behind the white car, you can see another sibipiruna tree that could be removed some day..
Here we have a grand-father playing with his grand-son when arriving in the square, the retired man was pushing the plastic car of the baby and he liked that a lot. This is not an usual scene here, specially because the young people try to find a better way of life far from our small town and this baby probably was not born here.
In fact, while watching this scene I remembered the love the Chinese grand-parents have by their grand-sons.. Taking them to the parks like treasures, I know every grand-parent loves them in anyplace, but in China they have more tradition and "only one" to take care.
PS: The title is a reference a famous Brazilian rock song from the 1970's, created by Belchior, sung here by Elis Regina. The song is a critic to ones attached to the past and to the Beatles and Rolling Stones because they sold their lives to the money. Marvelous lyrics. Please check if you like music.
