Colors of the City..., a photo from Rio de Janeiro, Southeast

I shot this picture about 20 minutes before that one.

As you can see the light variance produces quite a different mood. The perspective is not as good as in the previous one but I felt the colors effect in the sky was rather interesting. I find this mix of yellow, orange and purple really appealing.

Taken from my the window of my hotel, the show was always renewing from one day to another. From this place, I saw bright sunny days, storms, heavy rains, hot nights but one of the most beautiful moment was at sunset.

A beautiful shot, Steven. I like very much how the road leads the viewer into the picture and that this natural line is concluded by the hill in the distance. The colours and the clouds are magnificient. Congratulations!

Your photo is very inviting; if I only could be there with someone to play som ball with...

I did a ws on it, where I unhazed it a bit. If possible I would also have liked to add a little bit on the right side to get all of the curve in the picture (if there in deed is more). I hope you like my ws - your pic was fun to play with.

Awesome composition Steven !
Those "goals" (?) lead the eye from the closest part of the frame further in and then everything curves with the beach.
Colors are also very good, with the blue of the sea and the orange of the sky visible clearly and in good contrast.
A bit longer exposure might have given the effect of moving cars on the road below for an even better shot. Still, as it is, excellent shot - well done.

A fantastic shot. The sky is truly amazing - both the colours and the horizontal split. I also like the way the waves breaks on the beach, leaving a long white curve.
