Photographer's Note
First there was just the fishemen catching their food from the generous sea. With the time, the modern civilization came with some money and tourism. The fishermen are still there, now fishing in a not so generous sea, and for a not so generous money...
This is "Praia da Armação", Búzios, state of Rio de Janeiro, and this three men are sculptures bronze made by Christina Motta. The cruiseship is the "Costa Romantica", departuring from Santos to this port in the summer.
Cheers!

Hi Jose. Nice contrast between old and new, big and small. Those statues are very lifelike and had me fooled. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hello Jose
You show the contrast between social-economic classes. There's hardly any or no chance that the fishermen on the foreground will ever make a cruise....
Nice picture. Blue-tinting(?) works well.

Hi, José.
Great shot with multiple values: the color es amazing, the blue of sky and of water seems monochrome, and over the blue the other colors contrast very well, specially the red, the white and the human figures. Very well composed too: the subjects more importants are in the backround (the cruiseship) and in the foreground (the men at work), there is a great difference between them: measure, economical situation... it's too a documentary. Amazing! Congratulations, and thanks.

Essas estátuas enganaram-me.

Ótimo POV!

Incredible and fascinating perspective and scale ! That's a great composition, with a good note. And the light is OK despite the bad weather. Excellent.

Além de fotógrafo virou escritor agora.
Boa nota!

Nice contrast between fishing boats and the cruise ship.
Nice color and DOF. The POV and composition are great. The ominous sky may be a statment of conflict.
Thanks,
Asa
