Photographer's Note

I had just gotten done riding an elephant through the jungle, and floating down a river on a bamboo raft that looked anything but sturdy enough to hold him and I plus all of my very nice, new, and expensive camera equipment! I made my friend swear that the raft wouldn't tip over and with a weary sigh and carefully seated myself in the middle and what I thought to be the safest place for me to sit.

Once we arrived at our destination, I left my friend to talk with the natives as I wandered around the area. That's where I found this little boy sitting on the porch of this house. The house was raised about one and a half meters off the ground to allow for the river to rise and not damage the house.

I took about eight shots of him, and all the while he just looked at me curiously, probably wondering what I had in my hand and why I was pointing at him. In one of the other pictures he actually smiled/laughed but because of my shutter speed it came out a bit blurry.

He was so adorable, it was such a pleasure to shoot him in his environment. I hope you enjoy the picture!
