Sunset at the Dragomirna


I spent three days at the Dragomirna campsite which is located really close to the monastery’s walls. The most impressive is entering the fortress in the late evening after all tourists leave the place. It is getting dark and silent like it was centuries ago.

If you enter the main church at that time, you would hear female monks praying inside. It is like entering a different world of ancient rituals, silence, comtemplation and echoes of orthodox chants. It feels like time has stopped long long long ago.
