Photographer's Note
A fleeting shaft of sunlight on the church at Westerdale - just before sunset on a showery day.
we never actually got any rain of course, despite forecasters saying there would be frequent heavy showers.
The dryness is getting quite serious again after a gentle rain last weekend broke two months of near drought.

Hello Colin - You have captured this beautiful light at the perfect moment. I love the way it brings out the subtle textures and colour variations as it highlights the trees and stonework. An atmospheric and attractive shot. Enjoy your Sunday Rosemary

Hi Colin,
What attracts your picture is light. It is nicely painted tower and red roof. The sky came much too dark . Attractive shot.

Hello Clin ,
This is the lighting conditions that I prefer . la low evening light in combination with a stormy dark sky . And a beautiful stoned church partially hidden by trees as an attractive subject .
A gorgeous capture .
