Photographer's Note
S21 Prison or as it is now known the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. The most horrific place I've ever stepped foot inside. There was a sign that stated the barbed wire was in place to prevent the desperate inmates from committing suicide. It used to be a high school but was converted into a prison by the Khymer Rouge. Around 17,000 people were tortured and murdered here. It looks like typical high schools in Cambodia, every time I passed a Cambodian school after visiting here, all I could think of was this place.
