We used to wash our clothes in the river surely for those having a river nearby.Even now we can see in certain parts of the island this colourful scene.The shot was taken from a bridge and therefore the picture gave us the panorama around the river with the women in the water.A polariser was used to accentuate the colours .

Hello Christian - a beautiful daily life shot here. The splash of color from the bright clothes of the launderers brakes up the bright green landscape well, and you really get a sense of the surroundings and place here. Thanks for this look at Mauritius!
