Photographer's Note
As any Mediterranean country, Malta has for itself a fine tradition of pottery manufacture. Most of the traditional objects are similar to the Sicilian ones (with colored painted flowers) but there are also simple like the ones from Popeye Village.
_________
Popeye Village is a group of rustic and ramshackle wooden buildings located at Anchor Bay in the north-west corner of the Mediterranean island of Malta, two miles from the village of Mellieħa.
It was built as a film set for the production of the 1980 live-action musical feature film Popeye, produced by Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Productions and starring Robin Williams. Today it is open to the public as an open-air museum and family entertainment complex.

Hello Daniel,
I like this composition with its warm colours and well rendered textures. Very well composed and ideally exposed. Well observed and beautifully presented.

Hello Daniel,
Although this may not be a very Maltese place it is still a nice composition with few but elegant details. I like very much the tones of brown, yellow and grey which create a very harmonious atmosphere.
Kind regards,
Gert

Ciao Daniel
un luogo molto curioso, non avrei mai pensato si trattasse di un set cinematografico, ormai sono di moda e si cerca di sfruttarli per produrre affari.
Mi piace la linea di quelle brocche, sono semplici, ma eleganti.
Buon we

Hello Daniel
must admit I always think of Maltese glass-work and not the pottery, so this is a welcome introduction to more of the crafts from this little island. I love this shot it has a rustic and gloriously traditional feel about it. Captured and presented beautifully.
Enjoy the weekend - B.

Hi Daniel,
A very fine picture with qualities of a drawing with its sharp contours and delicate details. The uniform and pleasant colours increase the value of the picture.
Kind regards

Hello Daniel
I get a whiff of the forefathers spirit, who built with modest tools such attractive humble dwellings, every time I visit ancient artisanal houses.
My pleasure is fulfilled when the floors crack and the scents of old varnish exhale from walls and furniture.
You masterly captured the soul of romance for a piece of art museum!
Cheers.
Robert
