THY Boeing 737, a photo from Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv

Photographer's Note

Two pictures (one WS) of Türk Hava Yolları i.e. Turkish-Airlines, Boeing 737-8f2 after T/O on runway 26 in Ben-Gurion airport en-route to Istanbul.

Even this days when politics play a major role between Israel and Turkey – there are more than 100 weekly flights by Turkish companies landing in Isreal, THY has more than 45 to that count.
In the resent 30 or so years, THY became one of the most dominant airline in the Mediterranean region, Europe, and a gate to the eastern countries, all along with a known excellent inflight service. Istanbul became a great flights connections available.

Hello Ike,

Just recently, my husband and I camped near Prestwick airport and saw many planes come in, like this, with their wing tips raised.
This is a lovely shot, very well cropped for good composition and showing crisp details of the plane.

Hi Ike,

This is a part of photography that I enjoy, aircraft photography. The point of vierw is showing the details and the colors of the Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-8F2 on take-off. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. The space in front of the aircraft is indicating movement. Have a nice day.

Hello Ike,
a stunningly clear picture of the flying plane, it stands out superbly against the vivid blue backdrop, it looks 3D and its details are well defined and interesting to study. The workshop picture is fine too but this one is more elegant and really dynamic. I hope that politics will play a more efficient role in solving crises. Congratulations and thank you!

I think it might be spelled as "Boeing" with an 'e'? Anyway a superb upward pov with good sharpness and excellent use of the blue sky as a backdrop. I flew Turkish Airlines from Bangkok to Istanbul and again just recently from Istanbul to Munich. Tfs!

is no stranger to me. The name of this aircraft Manisa. Manisa, a city in the Aegean region in Turkey. Turkish airlines, aircraft gives the name of the cities in Turkey. I've gotten many times in this plane. Thanks for sharing.

Highly informative inflight shot from an aviation enthusiast - love reading the link! Impressive way you have demonstrated sense of movement of the jet and kept it in great focus well frozen and razor sharp at fast shutter speed. Excellent exposure against a bright sky and good side lighting on the plane as well, it's full of dynamic & thrust, sense of power and speed giving her more punch. I love the little space on the left frame. My guess is you are very proud of this one, another great aviation photo collection, Well done, Congrats

Hello Ike,
This is a very nice photo, worthy to be in AirportData.com or a similar site. As usual, THY gets my attention. In my youth, THY used to be the joke of the airlines business, infamous for their delays, cancelled flights and crashes. They have tried hard in the last few decades and made quite a progress.

Hello Ike. Photographing aircraft is a particular specialty. A good camera and a telephoto is ideal for such shots. Good job. I can see every detail.

magnificent capture of the plane!737-800 is I think one of the most popular airplanes we can see on the airports.

Hello Ike,

The plane is nice and also very big placed in your image. The detail sharpness and the colors are of the finest quality. Very nice also the flashing by the sun behind the cockpit.

Probably it was very noisy at this site for the photographer.

Hi Ike,
Nice capture of the plane from the bottom. You must have been nearly underneath it. You must have in your collection all types of airlines. The most exotic ones I remember to see were Argentinean Airlines which have a surprising name, may be I will manage to find that photo someday.
