Photographer's Note

Back home for a few days.
Esztergom was the capital of Hungary from the 10th till the mid-13th century, when King Béla IV of Hungary moved the royal seat to Buda.
Esztergom is the seat of the prímás (Primate) of the Roman Catholic Church in Hungary, and the former seat of the Constitutional Court of Hungary.
In the WS you can see the view of the Castle Hill with the Basilica (built in the 18th century) from the Slovakian side Štúrovo (Hungarian name: Párkány). On the right side of the Basilica you can see the reconstructed former Royal Castle.
The bridge next to the ship is the Mária Valéria bridge, which was built in 1895 and was destroyed twice since then, last time in 1944. In 2001 it was reconstructed thanks to EU funds and due to the free movement of individuals, residents and tourist don't need to wait for the ferry to have a walk in one of the cities.
