Hello Everyone,

The fun fair had a whole host of different rides and side shows which attracted the eager children.

I couldn't resist this stall, which was full of colourful toys but, at the front, there was a lucky dip!
Who doesn't love a lucky dip!

I waited until the children reached the front, which then had all figures looking towards the stall holder.
You can see the close interaction between the children and the stall holder!

Oh, if only the parents were richer, so the children could have repeated attempts to secure their favourite toy!

Hello Bev,
There are lots of colours and enthusiastic children that make this an appealing photo. I hope they all had a chance to try their luck. It may have been a coincidence, but the photo is nicely divided roughly along a diagonal between a very colourful upper left part and a rather more grayish lower right.
I had actually never heard of a 'lucky dip' before, but the note later explained it. We use a word that means "fish pond".

Now these things are almost gone, it is not easy to survive with jobs like these and it is also a hard and difficult traveling life. Your ask about remember visiting the fair
I am born in a small village, to 1950 came no one fair toward us village, the bridges where still broken we exactly life on a Island, only a small ferry for four people about the two canals for a little bit food
But also my parent where very poor people through the War, everything lost, animals, money and no seed grain for next harvest.
I know what are poor, today are all people rich through the support of the government. May 1953 24 the fist time electricty in our house!
But I am happy next week 60 year married (with same woman)
I like your picture with nice view about childern and fair.
Nice depth and perspective, and excellent detailed picture.

You got a nice angle. I liked the position of each people and their expressions. Perfect image, tfs.
PS. What i was telling about vertical images is i cant post them because they stay in horizontal format. I can to post horizontal images only. I have lots of vertical ones put at side.

This brings back memories from Primary School Fetes of toffee, chocolate crackles and homemade fudge and coconut ice, as well as lucky dips. A colourful daily life scene with good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

Hi Bev,
The world I remember growing up in the Communist country, was rather grey. There was no color at all. The sweeties were quite simple, well I was waiting hours to buy bread. I had rather few toys. I remember having a small toy car which I played with a lot. Sadly it was damaged by other children visiting us.
For me so much has changed, but now visiting Poland I am shocked, it is so colorful and so beautiful.

Great capture here. Unfortunately taking photos of other children is in the UK not very well seen. Luckily I have my own model with me on such occasions...
