Photographer's Note
Timanfaya National Park was established around the volcanically most active part of Lanzarote during the eruptions in 1730 and 1736. The access to the park is strictly regulated. As discussed under previous uploads from Lanzarote, the main way you can experience the park is by coach. I think the coach tour is a great idea as long as the bus could stop in few points to really get a feeling of the place and have a chance to take photos. Alternatively, the buses should be open air buses and not coaches, that would allow to take better photos too.
I have first heard about Timanfaya National Park in the beginning of this century. At that time, I lived in California and I was fascinated by amazing national parks of the American Southwest. I bought a great guidebook to them made by National Geographic. Fantastic book. I thought, so pity that there are no books like that for the Europe. Interestingly I found one but: it was published in the UK so it was very much biased focusing mainly on the UK national parks and only shortly mentioning national parks in other countries. The photos and maps were rubbish as opposed to the book from National Geographic. Anyway, that was the first time I read about this National Park. It reminded me the Haleakala National Park which I have hiked on Hawaiian island of Maui. Later on, I was very much surprised by darek1978 who told me that you can only visit this national park by coach. Yes, this is sadly true.
This photo was taken through the window of a moving bus. What made me laugh out loud was a sign inside the bus which said that flash photography is prohibited.

Hello Mariusz,
That's pretty special: a desert with ocean view.
Thanks to the clouds you get a nice contrast between light and shadow on the slopes.
I like the long rows of plants. They provide even more depth in the image.
Could you not request a sanitary stop on the bus every now and then?
To be taken through a window, you have obtained a very good result here.
Can you really not go anywhere in this national park on your own? And is the nature outside the national park (in places where you are allowed to go individually) so very different, that is, less spectacular? I'm just looking for a loophole :)
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz, perhaps whoever put up the sign does not know the uselessness of the flash when photographing landscapes from the window ... indeed, it would make it worse with its reflection. Really a weird and comical thing. Interesting notes about this park that can only be visited by bus, the scenery is truly unique, almost lunar, and the photo is, as always, an example of impeccable quality. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Good morning Mariusz!
To be honest: I never heard of that national park before, and it's difficult to believe that this is also Europe.
Fine overview with a lovely scattered cloud ceiling.
Have a fine 1st advent!

Hello Mariusz, what an amazing landscape, it is beautiful in its own way. I like this scene very much.
The blue sky and distant sea are a lovely contrast to the various colours of the land.

Hello Mariusz,
What a fantastic landscape with wonderful smooth shapes and great colours in a pleasant and soft sunlight. Also the play of shadows of the fluffy white clouds is very attractive. Great work.

Hello Mariusz,
There must be serious reasons why the restrictions are so stringent on touring the National Park, though I find it hard to understand why you can’t step out of the bus for a few photographs.
As it is, you have taken a remarkably good photograph through the window of a travelling bus! The clarity is fine and you have captured the subtle colour changes on the hills and across the scene. It looks a little like the surface of the moon!
I really like how the sea and sky make a very bright, blue contrasting b/g.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hi Mariusz.
This if I visited it and very thoroughly, wonderful composition with all these volcanic cones and the spectacular colors of the different colors of the rocks and lava, the sky is very beautiful and the horizon is clear, we can see the sea in the background.
Very good color that highlights the strength of the image.
Superb brightness and sharpness management to capture details.
Very well done. I like it.
Have a good start to the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
P/D. I like the powerful coloring of your version.
