Photographer's Note
Taken from Kalaupapa, a 2-hour, 3-mile, 26-hairpin turn trek by mule from the cliff tops of Molokai. The shot is taken from the spot where lepers would land after being were "asked to leave" their vessel (viz. thrown overboard from the vicinity of the island-peak. It was here that the colony was headed byFather Damien was situated and still exists. The sea cliffs in the centre background, some of the highest in the world, were used as the setting for the helicopter entrance to Jurassic Park

I really like the mood to this picture. There must be something universal here because it reminds me of the land around a cottage I spend a weekend at in Newfoundland.
I've posted a workshop where I try to increase the existing detail in the closest land forms. I may have accidentally made the farthest land seem closer, however. I hope you like it.
