Photographer's Note
A picture I found this in my archive, I took this picture 2004 December a very misty morning with a temperature minus 2° Celsius
The railway between Eeklo and Ghent, a railway as well as for people as for goods, maybe come ten trains during a normal day.
I have very well looking during this taken of the picture, a very dangerous moment.
Any people will other type picture of my, I have these as new type use.
But I remain absolutely works with the great long perspective.
I hope that these people now are satisfied, and enjoy.
I used a monopod.
Thanks for comment, best friends!

Your shot would have been better I think with less amount of sky and with an aperture of more than F8 to add to the perspective You would have to use a ND filter to help not burn the sky and the moon.
Hope you wont mind my comments.

Hi John
Another remarkably brilliant photography skilled that you have displayed and shared with us in TE.
The subzero temperature did not demotiveted you but have MOTIVATED you to captured such exquisite shot.
The angle is brilliant and the dept of the shot is felt.
And finally, you have included the moon that composed very well.
Bravo, John.
Have a nice day.

The path for the beginning day... Where is it going to drive me ? Will it be so straight ? Is the sun going to win against the clouds ?
Perfect symmetry and vertiginous perspective.
Have a good day.

Hi John
Moody & atmospheric. Perhaps a slight ccw rotation? I like the linear perspective, imparted by the railroad tracks. Well done!

Bonjour mon ami John,

Interesting perspective photo, John. I appreciate again that you are trying to show a few different subjects and motives, and in this one the line of railway tracks provides a rather compelling perspective effect towards the background. Perhaps a bit of the sky could be cropped from the top but otherwise it is really good. Greetings from Milan (I'm on a business trip this week).

Hi John, A nice shot facing the sun. A nice perspective view following the railroad all the way into the fog. A well composed picture. Nice contrast, especially consider that it is directly facing the sunlight.

Hi John,
Yes, this is perspective. The pure perspective with a great addition of tiny trees on the horizon and the sun above them. More words are not necessary.

Hi John,
I love it!
The sense of perspective is very strong and the atmosphere given by the mist is marvellous, with the sillouettes of the trees (common in your images) making a good background. I like the perfect central POV. A strong image, well executed. Congratulations!

Hi John,
Good thing you went through your archives!
There are two things I like very much. First of all the image of the misty landscape is very attractive and pleasing to look at, with nice soft light, good contrast and sharpness.
Then I find that the idea and subsequent composition are brilliant. That rail track leading into the horizon, the symmetry, and low POV, create an amazing ohoto.
Very well done John, bravo!!

Hi John,
This a great perspective, with great depth. The rails take the eyes to us until the horizon. Background is very mysterious with the fog, the sun is transparent through her, and it creates a very interesting and cold atmosphere.
Good photo.

Hi John,
A superb POV allows the eye to become mesmerized by the endless track flowing into eternity...The foggy background with the sun struggling to penetrate, adds to the winter mood, and I like the symmetry of the fields and tracks. A very fine capture.

Good morning John,
The diagonal line of the rail tracts is an asset to the composition and is dividing the photo in thirds. The point of view takes our eyes to infinity which has an effect of perspective on the photo. The light fog is filtering the light which is giving darker colors to the scenery. Have a nice sunday.
