Photographer's Note
I found this door (or ex-door) in the old part of one of the most beautiful Ukrainian cities, Kamyanets-Podilskyy. Its unique location and therefore extremely rich cultural and architectural heritage (Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Armenian, Turkish, Jewish..) make the city a *must* of any visit to Ukraine.

Very interesting shot. I like the texture of the stone work. And the way the door is filled it looks like someone put the frame onto the stone rather than fill a doorway, which is a nice effect. I also like the delicacy of what is left of the decoration of the doorway versus the coarsness of the stonework. Good job.

Ok, this door is closed, I get the message ;o)
The fact that the kept the ornamented doorframe when filling it with a very simple stone wall gives an allmost comical effeect. Well seen!

This one is quite funny, don't know why. How to improve? Maybe shoot it at evening time with a side-lighting to bring out more stone texture.

I love the way the door frame has been left and just filled in rather than being removed. It's like a door in Narnia; it makes me wonder what's behind it. It's a very intriguing shot.

Beautifull composition and original subject. Maybe would I have cropped a little the picture top to avoid the upper tiles which are not particularly interesting. Well done, anyway.
