One of the most beautiful places on Isle of Skye - famous Old Man of Storr.

I've planned to get some shots from this location for a long time. It was a first time for me to be here. My plan was to get some nice sunrise shots from the top. As I've never been to this place before I had gone to the top the day before - just to prepare myself for the next day, familiarise with the place, find some good spots etc.

As the sunrise was very early (about 4:40) I had to rush from the parking place about 3:50 am. It is quite a tiring climb - especially if you're carrying about 15 kg of equippment - so it took me about half an hour to get to the top.

I've taken several photos - this one was taken a bit later - when I was going down. I can still hear the silence and feel the wind on my face. Hope you'll like it.

Excellent shot - the light is fantastic, the viewpoint equally so. The wispy cirrus clouds are another great detail.

this really is an excellent image. not complicated, just a few colors and wonderful view. but the light, the smooth and subtle clouds, the pointy rock....they really add interest in a really quality image!!!
