Photographer's Note
In Greenwich Village's Washington Square Park, you undoubtedly see chess players sitting at these tables waiting for an opponent. I have never been a challenger, A) Because I can't play chess well and B) Because I don't have much money to lose!
Anyway, I asked this cool cat if I could take his photo and he was happy to "pose". The park was full of people, children enjoying the fountain in the center of the park, musicians strumming guitars, skateboarders, and folks just hanging out. It is nice to see people enjoying a beautiful day in the big city - there is a lot of that in the village.
If you're planning on visiting 'the village', check out Mamoun's on MacDougal St.for a soda and a falafel and walk over to the park to eat and people-watch. The experience will cost you $3 US.
Comments and critiques are welcome! Thanks!
