Photographer's Note
Bus descending from Grosse Scheidegg mountain pass down to Grindelwald. Bus service on this valley is extensive, relieving hikers from climbing uphill. Or vice versa for more sporty ones.
Resort village of Grindelwald is visible down the valley. Kleine Scheidegg pass with famous Jungfraubahn and Wengeralpbahn rail connections is straight above. And the mountain in the middle is Eiger with its notorious north face. With 2 kilometres of almost vertical climb it is one of the toughest mountaineering challenges in the world and was first conquered in 1938.

Hi Kari,
Amazing view. The bus added scale to the image. And the road gives a lead in to the mountain. TFS!

Hi Kari,
a very fine composition. The yellow bus and the bending road are a decisive addition to a already beautiful mountain view with lavish green vegetation at the bottom and the high rising majestic snowy mountain iun the background, great depth, great shot.

Hi Kari,
What a breaktaking landscape! You have chosen a good point of view to catch S-shaped road and mountain tops covered with snow all the year around.
A yellow bus works well here to show us how tiny humans are in comparison with the magnificient mountains.

Très belle photo. La majestueuse montagne en arrière plan renforce l'aspect vertigineux de la route. la tache jaune du car est très bien venue dans la composition

Grüezi Kari,
Nice work on the famous postauto, I have one in the pipeline from AI need to find a bit of time to polish it, framing is superb here to show it in the environment it often drives through, and the splash of yellow is as powerful as we could expect.
Have a nice day,

Kari,
The splash of Yellow from the bus really did something to this shot. I can imagine you waiting for this decisive moment. The bus also gave a sense of scale to the shot. Good POV. There is a very fine white line below the shot. I believe it is a power cable. If you crop that out I think the shot would still be alright. TFS Andre

Nice photo Kari. I love the winding road which leads the eye to the main subject. The cloud spilling off the top of the mountain is a nice touch also. Thanks for sharing.

Your composition is very good, Kari, and excellent timing to catch the bus in that position. Did you use a filter for this? I am wondering whether a PL filter would have cut through the background haze a bit better and brought out more contrast in the sky. Cheers . . . David

Hi Kari,
This is a really unique shot. I like the way the majestic mountains are framed against the sky; it seems like you are at the top of another mountian of nearly equal height to give this POV. The road dropping sharply into the green valley adds excitement while as others have commented that loong bus seems tiny; yet it seems almost too big to make the sharp curves.

Hi Kari
Very nice compo with the "S" road and lucky you are to have caught that yellow bus going down the road. The distant landscape is remarkable with the small village on the right, adding dof to your picture.

Fantastic composition Kari. I bet when it came into view it just took your breath away. The vertical composition works superbly. Most people take a panoramic view and loose the dynamism needed, as you have captured. Very good and thanks for sharing.

Yes fantastic shot with so much of interest throughout. I may be mistaken but I think we can probably see the Mönchjochshütte up there behind the summit of the Mönch as well. The Eiger looks awesome from this angle, doesn't it? I wonder if the bus might have had more impact had you caught it a couple of turns earlier, ie right in the foreground. Then it would have been bigger and more imposing... but on the other hand it wouldn't have been such an integral part of the scene... so I think it's perfect where it is.
Picture could be a little bit sharper I feel - what aperture did you use and where did you focus - but it doesn't detract too much from your great composition. Well done.

Yellow of the bus looks very attractive in the green. you have captured it with the exquisite composition that put the winding road in the foreground and beautiful Eiger in the background.

Wow!!!
What a spectacular view. I loved the composition. The contrasting colours of the green valley and the snow capped tall peaks behind with the blue sky at the backdrop is amazing. The yellow bus is the striking dynamic element in the serene and silent place. Pretty inspirational photo :)
