Photographer's Note

This is a continuation of the theme of Vancouver's reflective buildings. I posted an earlier shot of one of the downtown buildings that mirrored the sky so well that it was hard to tell where the building ended and the sky began. This building also has a mirror like surface, but the colour is golden, making a nice contrast with the blue sky. I used a polarizer to darken the sky as well as get rid of unwanted reflections, and in this case it had a very dramatic effect on the sky. I think this was because I was pointing the camera up high in the sky, instead of close to the horizon where the polarizer has less impact.
