Photographer's Note
Waiting to get off the train, standing by the door, some begin conversations, others gaze wonder what comes next.

A bit voyeuristic, and that's what I like about your photo. It's simple, not perfect, something I see every day around me. It's so simple, I wouldn't notice it if you wouldn't have posted it.

This is a wonderful catch Hugh, a real street (yeah train) action shot... A superb compo with 2 layers... Very very well done...

Great one Hugh. Even though it looks that your D200 was tricked by come blue reflective light here, the composition is absolutely striking. The way you presented the trio in a diagonal line facilitates the reading very much. It's so direct. From the gaze of the old woman in the front till the opened mouth of the background guy it's less than a second. Like that!

Hi, Hughes.
Good scene with people in the train.
But it licks something...DOF ? Another croping and some PP to accentue only people ? I don't know....Not bad but I think could be a little stronger. But I like attitudes and expressions you captured here.
Best regards. Grazyna.

hello Hugh,
pleased that you are back as coincidentally i was checking out your site only yesterday and read your message about being away for some time.
I like this one has it is a people watching shot and I do love people watching. In some respects it is very ordinary, nothing unusual or exciting is happening but i know that I would have been tempted to take a picture under the same circumstances too. Sometimes the ordinary records very well.

Hi Hugh,
An excellent capture of daily life. I love the naturalness of this shot.It is kind of awry but then thats what it is like really..it is exactly my idea of street photography...unpretentious.

This is a remarkable candid capture. A perfect example of the ordinary moment frozen in time.Apart from the amazing exposure and clarity in these lighting conditions, the moment seems perfect. There seems to be a real dynamic between the couple. the man's mouth is open, they could be arguing. The women in the foreground looks stressed and bored( travel fatigue) The angular, zig-zagging composition across the fame, give it great movement, adding to the sense of tension. I think you have a winner of this genre. regards kevin

Interesting daily life picture, Hugh! I love the way you captured those two engaged in conversation. Also nice to have a second element in the foreground (the woman with her luggage).
