On Mr Messner's land, a photo from Bolzano, Trentino Alto Adige

Photographer's Note

Odle Group as seen from the pastures near Santa Maddalena village in Val di Funes, late afternoon. The "first love" of Reinhold Messner, who was born there and start His serious climbing in this area.

Odle Group (Puez-Geisler) is the northwestern outpost of the Dolomites, famous of its north faces that drop for 1000 m into the Val di Funes (Villnöß valley). The highest peaks in the group are Furchetta and Sass Rigais (both 3025m).

It was the first stop during my trip through Italy, and must say, i was absolutely delighted by the Pure Nature the Dolomites can offer. Air clarity, strange quietness and breathtaking vistas around - i must come back there one day.

Very nice shot of italian Alpes, good sharpness and colors, with a great composition. Maybe a little dark to the right, but it's a beautiful view.

This image is really great !
I am really fond of the beautiful light on the peaks at the background and of the nice composition that leads to it. THe contrast between shadow and light is extremly well managed.
The deep blue sky thanks to the polarizer achieves this magnificent landscape.

Piekne miejsca zwiedzasz :) Imponujace polaczenie skalistych gor z lagodna zielona polana. Sliczne swiatlo pada na stoki. Ladnie pokazane, w zywych cieplych kolorach. Czekam na obiecane wiecej :)

Hi Mat, haven't seen you on TE for a very long time... nice view of Dolomites in the background, great light and quality, good work of a lens I am planning to buy... maybe the bottom could be cropped somewhat...

Hello Mateusz! Wonderful view of Dolomites and the details are very sharp. You managed the light perfectly rendering warm saturated colors. I do detect a bit of uneven polarization in the sky but it is minor.
