Photographer's Note

Few miles outside the Highway A1 (the Milano-Roma-Napoli), that runs close to the Appennini Mounts, along the central Italy and 40 kms south-west of Siena, the landscape have a big change.
From a large and flat urbanizated valley it becomes the classical one of the southern Toscana. Hills, trees of all the types, the typicall bush and the vineyards.
Few villages normally on the top of the hills, some rural houses around.
The early Autumn is a great season to view this land with wonderful colours, few tourists and yet a good and hot weather.

This is a view of the Val di Chiana, along a small street that goes up and down from the hills running from Sinalunga to Pienza.

Val di Chiana in Italy means just one thing, the Chianina Cows and the Chianina Beaf.
The famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina (T-Bone steak of Florence) is a Chianina beaf, and nothing more, normally one Kilo with the T bone, grilled on the fire for 10 minutes.
