Elevation : 2050 m.
Temperature : 2º C.
A few minutes later a hailstorm covered the site!

The area was full of insects.
Part of nature!

The artist of OCEANIDA PUBLICATIONS did a great job.
She made use of my photo for background in combination with a lady's inscrutable face and created an outstanding book cover.
This contemporary fiction is titled "Dragon on ice".

Χαίρομαι πολύ που η φωτογραφία μου αυτή επιλέχτηκε να ντύσει το περιεχόμενο του μυθιστορήματος “Δράκος στο χιόνι” της κας Οικονόμου.
Ούτως ή άλλως με συνδέει με τον πιο αγαπημένο τόπο που έχω “ζήσει”.
Το βιβλίο που κρατώ πλέον στα χέρια μου και διαβάζω, ήρθε να μιλήσει στη ψυχή μου και να ανορθώσει το ηθικό μου.

The combination of blue sky and purple flowers is very nice. The dreamy look is felt in this image though I would love to see a version with more light as well. This place seem beautiful and you managed a good point of view to capture some of its beauty. Thanks for sharing :-)

un bon point de vu , herbes fleurs lac et montagne tout est bien cadré mais le nuage noir mange beaucoup de lumiere c'est un peu dommage personnellement je prefere le WS

Γεια σου Θανάση, εντυπωσιακότατη και πανέμορφη η Δρακολιμνη και κατάφερες να την αποτυπώσεις εξαιρετικά. Προσωπικά προτιμώ την εικόνα του ws καθώς αναδεικνύει με περισσότερη λεπτομέρεια τις ομορφιές του μέρους, αλλά και αυτή έχει μία ιδαίτερη ατμόσφαιρα. Πολύ όμορφο, ισορροπημένο και περιεκτικό κάδρο. What an atmosphere! That dark cloud that almost seems to be falling down is just great. Good idea to include the persons in background. I like these blue flowers in foreground.Light and colours are very good.

τι ομορφιά είναι αυτή!! Ένα ποιήμα και μια ωδή προς την φύση η φωτογραφία σου.Ευτυχώς που υπάρχουν και κάποιοιφωτογράφοι σνα και εσένα και ανεβαίνουν σε τέτοια ύψη για να δούμε οι υπόλοιποι,αυτήν την πανδαισία ομορφιάς.Εξαιρετικό το γράψιμο με απίθανες λεπτομέρεις, φωτός,σκιών και αντανακλάσεων.Μπράβο.

Σπουδαία φωτογραφία και μοναδικό το τοπίο. Ατμόσφαιρα που δε θυμίζει πολύ Ελλάδα (λίμνη σε υψόμετρο ειναι σπάνιο). Εξαιρετικά χρώματα και ευκρίνεια. Μπράβο σου.

Hello Athanasios, it is a powerful picture with the dramatic clouds, solid mountain and wide lake. Great depth of field allows both the flowers in the forground and the distant rocks to be in focus. I like the low vantage point - it enhances the foreground, bringing extra interest to the scene.

What a beautiful view you present my friend! Even though the FG is a bit dark (checked your WS as well). the flowers in the FG jump out from the screen. But it's the BG which makes this so attractive. Superb exposure control especially when you've those white clouds. The two people are excellent for the scale. A fine picture my friend!

Wow, Athanasios.... what a shot!
I LIKE that dark FG with just silhouettes and hints of plants. Then that bit of snow to the left and the silvery reflections slowly turning to green on the hillsides. I love that green hillside the light is hitting in the distance and that outrageously beautiful sky.. Man. This is a beautiful shot. Many thanks and kindest wishes,

The blue flowers echo the patch of blue sky - and between them the threatening clouds, mountains and shining lake are all very well portrayed. The figures are perfectly placed against the area of light.
The WS version is still dramatic - but does not have the magic of this main posting.
A wonderfully atmospheric shot!

Indeed dreamy and beautiful. The low POV give a wonderful effect to the image. I like the composition only at my opinion a bit more of light would made it even more beautiful.

Hi Athanasios,

indeed dreamy! Beautiful scenery wih overwhelming atmopshere. Low dark clouds create special light conditions and their reflection in water gives the photo silver-like look. This goes so well with intensive greenery and those 2 spots of blue and purple. So well balanced and presented. And i prefer this version over the one in WS.

φέτος την άνοιξη ένα μήνα περίπου πριν από εσένα για να είμαι συγκεκριμένος επισκέφτηκα και εγώ το μέρος, αξίζει τον δρόμο και με το παραπάνω, αν δεν το δει κανεις με τα ματια του δεν μπορει ευκολα να πιστεψει οτι το μέρος αυτο βρίσκεται στην Ελλάδα. Φωτογραφικά άξιζε η βροχή που φάγατε.... τα σύνεφα δίνουν την αίσθηση του υψόμετρου.

Beautiful scenery and vivid colours. Only the clouds are a bit overexposed. Scene with such range could be nice potential for tripod and hdr.. :-)
