Photographer's Note

This a view of Klostertal, a valley high up in Silvretta massif in the Alps of the Austrian federal state Vorarlberg. There's no managed Alpine hut, no street, no cablecar - only pure nature ...

The valley bottom here is in an altitude of about 2.200 meters, in the background you can see Sonntagspitze, 2.882 meter. At the upper end of the valley you can pass the Austrian/Swiss border in an altitude of 2.688 m.

Were you going up or down? It is a marvellous POV which reminds me 3 weeks of a geological field trip I have done in the French Alps almost 20 years ago. Well done.

Guten Morgen Frank!
Ich freue mich erstmal ,Dass Du mit deinen Hüften dort hinkommst,ein tolles Ergebnis,sowohl physisch als auch fotografisch!!!
Ein schöner Blick nach oben auf die saftigen Wiesen,und toller Bildaufbau mit der Diagonale des wilden Baches.

A beautiful alpine place and a beautiful photo. The POV and composition are excellent. I like the diagonals of the stream and the ridges of the lower slopes of the mountains, which are leading the eye to the magnificant mountain tops. The colours are warm and natural. Great depth. Good work! You sure had a wonderful hike.

Hallo lieber Frank,
Tolles Blickwinkel und wunderschoenes Blick an diese tolle Landschaft. Ohne diesen wild fliessenden Bach in der Mitte waere es hal so schoen !
Wie schoen sich in solch einer Umgebung zu befinden; ohne Abgase, Motorgeraeusche und TV Antennen !!

Ces Alpes sont de toute beauté avec cette superbe photo de cet écrin de verdure, un petit torrent qui serpente avec une eau claire et que ce doit être égréable de randonner près de celui-ci pour y trouver un peu de fraicheur

A well conceived composition of this appealing alpine scenery. Good point of view with the tumbling waters of the little stream leading the eyes towards the peaks. I like the puffy little clouds dotted about. The image benefits from a good light and has excellent natural colours and good clarity.

You chose a excellent angle for this wonderful picture.
Splendid between the mountains together with the narrow river, these leads us very far to the background.
The small clouds to the strong blue sky give a very well composition.
