I cropped the photo to a vertical version which concentrates on the areas of interest. I used a slight amount of Levels to adjust the highlights. Then I used Smart Sharpen to make it a little crisper.

Note: I had to set the image size to 800 BEFORE I did the Smart Sharpen. Doing Smart Sharpen first created halos around the spire when I resized the image aftewards.
