In Istanbul, Karakoy there is a stairway built by Abraham Cammondo in 19. century.
There is a photo taken by great master Henri Cartier-Bresson at the stairs.
This theme is dedicated to experimental works of TE photographers at this place.

After membership of TE, one of the good things that I have learned is this kind of small shops are very generic, specially in developing countries.

We know them in Turkey as 'Bakkal's and still have a very important role in the daily life. Sometimes, they role is more than selling goods, they even lend some money.

Unfortunately, this shops in danger against of new huge supermarkets all over the world.
