Photographer's Note

Pisa's origins remained unknown for centuries. The city lies at the junction of two rivers, Arno and Serchio in the Ligurian Sea forming a laguna area. The Pelasgi, the Greeks, the Etruscans and the Ligurians have variously been proposed as founders of the city. Archeological remains from the 5th century BC confirmed the existence of a city at the sea, trading with Greeks and Gauls. The presence of an Etruscan necropolis, discovered during excavations in the Arena Garibaldi in 1991, allowed to clarify its Etruscan origins.

Ancient Roman authors referred to Pisa as an old city. Servius wrote that the Teuti, or Pelopes, the king of the Pisei, founded the town thirteen centuries before the start of the common era. Strabo referred Pisa's origins to the mythical Nestor, king of Pylos, after the fall of Troy. Virgil in his Aeneid states that Pisa was already a great and developed centre by the times described; the foundation of the city in the 'Etruscan lands' has been credited to settlers from the Alpheus coast.

Une belle image de ce canal calme et large, bordé de constructions colorées, le tout sous une belle lumière.On aurait envie d'aller voir ce qu'il y a plus loin.

Ciao Georg,
una Pisa diversa da quella che solitamente vediamo in foto con la vista della famosa torre pendente e il Duomo con il Battistero.
Credo sia giusto far vedere come hai fatto vedere tu qui, anche altri aspetti della città, specialmente se essi sono belli come questo lungo viale con il fiume al centro.

Ottima gestione della luce e DOF.

wprawdzie krzywej wiezy tu nie widac ale mamy skrzywienie rzeki. Ladna stara zabudowa, dobry POV (pewnie most). Bdb jakosc. Podoba mi sie.

durch die tolle Perspektive erhält dieser träge Fluss eine richtige Dynamik! Ein sehr schön komponierter Eindruck dieses berühmten Wasserlaufs, der so malerisch gesäumt ist von diesen interessanten Gebäuden. Sehr schönes Licht und Farben!

Witaj Jurku,
Pisa juz od dawna jest na mojej liscie i widze ze slusznie.
Co prawda to miejsce nie jest moze najbardziej roznorodne ale musze przyznac ze jest bardzo ciekawe. Pokazales z fajnego kata wiec zrobilo sie troche ciekawiej, rowniez Twoj PP orzezwil kolory i wzmocnil kontrasty. Mysle ze to bardzo trudne miejsce zeby zrobic z tego cos fajnego ale tez uwazam ze chyba pokazales to najlepiej jak bylo mozna. Moze gdyby na niebie byly jakies fajne chmury ale te pojawiaja sie zawsze tam gdzie nie trzeba...
Dziwie sie troche Wlochom: kamienniczki bardzo urokliwe ale sama linia brzegowa troche za betonowa powinni to troche jakos ozywic.

Bonjour Georg,
tu as admirablement joué avec les courbes de lumières mais cela se voit un peu trop à certains endroits, notamment dans le ciel, j'ai ce genre de défauts sur certaines de mes photos.
L'effet est joli et un peu surréaliste.
Une courbe très graphique qui guide le regard.
