There are hundreds of identical carvings like the ones shown here looking over the incredible view of Beijing (located near the base of the White Pagoda in Behai Park).

Not trying to improve your excellent photo, just a different use of it. I select with a mask the focused buddha, and desaturate the rest, then applied a few more contrast and a little sharpen.
