In PhotoShop CS3 (CS2?):
1. select Image-Adjustments-Shadow/highlights...
2. Set shadows to 50/50/30 (default value)
3. Set Highlights to 54/49/30
4. Set Color correction 20 (default)
5. Set Midtone Contrast to +40 (or more)
Changing the hightlights causes the background to become darker and a bit "cleaner". Changing the Midtone contrast brings more light and sharpness to the fountain.
